Increases Labor Efficiency
ShopFax helps improve labor efficiency by helping the maintenance
manager or supervisor plan the work. The system can originate a
request via a repair order or by simply scanning the bar code on
the unit. The system looks to see if any preventive maintenance
is due or is coming due soon. It further checks for campaigns such
as manufacturers' recalls. It even checks for any pending work –
work previously needed but not severe enough to take the unit out
of service.

Reduces
Cost of Preventive Maintenance and Downtime
Optimum PM intervals and lower cost PM’s produce major savings.
ShopFax's multiple meters capability lets you establish PM's every
X number of miles, Y gallons of fuel, or Z number of days –
whichever comes first. By knowing when PM's should be done, you can
tailor PM schedules to the unit’s need. Fewer PM's add up to
savings in parts, supplies, and labor. Plus, the unit is in service
- not on the yard or in the garage,so fewer units are needed to do
the job.

Maximizes
Warranty Claims
ShopFax is PART SPECIFIC - it knows the warranty status of every part
– both OEM and after market. ShopFax “knows” the
warranty of every unit, system, and part and automatically checks
the warranty for each.

 |
Cuts
Inventory and Shrinkage
ShopFax users have reported up to 75% reductions in inventory. With
scheduled PM's and campaigns you know ahead of time which parts and
supplies you will need. ShopFax tracks parts usage so you can stock
a JIT (Just In Time) quantity of frequently used repair parts such
as headlamps, tail lights, etc. It identifies parts by age, so aging
parts can be returned for credit before that opportunity passes.

Uses
advanced technology
Our technology helps you lower costs and increase performance. ShopFax
is a Windows-based application with a Graphical User Interface (GUI)
which can run over a LAN or WAN, an intranet or the Internet and imposes
no limits on the numbers of users, locations, or maintainable units
it can support.

Reduces
Labor Costs While Improving Maintenance Quality
ShopFax uses bar codes and scanners to eliminate most paperwork and
keying of data into a computer system. Pencil scanners at the workstation
provide an easy way around the keyboard. Pocket pc's enable technicians
and parts people to scan bar codes wherever they are – in the
shop or miles away.

 |
Saves
Administrative Costs while Increasing Accuracy
Our bar code technology typically eliminates a minimum of 30-60 minutes
of clerical work from each technician’s shift. Not only does
bar coding save labor costs, it improves accuracy of entries.

Cuts
Parts Costs

organization. With ShopFax, you can easily identify preferred suppliers,
their prices, and the prices of alternative vendors. It tracks the
performance of every part and lets you know what you are getting from
the parts you buy. On average, users of ShopFax say their systems
save at least 7% on parts costs.

 |
Saves
Fuel Cost
ShopFax records the performance of all components and parts. It also
tracks fuel usage by unit and groups of units and will let you know
if fuel economy drops. You can then determine the cause and remedy.ShopFax
users report high savings - their lowest claim savings are at least
5% of their previous fuel cost per mile.

Reduces
Asset Investment
Less downtime, longer life, and better specifications reduce investment.
Fewer trips to the shop, fewer breakdowns, and more available time
per unit equal less investment while maintaining the same results.
ShopFax users typically operate with 5% fewer units than they did
without our system.

Increases
Resale Value
A properly maintained unit lasts longer and is worth more when you
sell it. Many people only think of service records for maintenance
and DOT needs. Those are important, but there is another great benefit
to proper maintenance. With the records to prove good maintenance,
the unit is worth more when you sell it. Expect to get at least
8% more for your used units when using a World system to do timely
and efficient maintenance.
